I am the Global New Business Librarian for Y&R Advertising. After a career in academic libraries I transitioned to self-employment in 2010, then to a career in special libraries. I remain connected to academic librarianship as the 2013 president of The Association of College and Research Libraries, Greater Metropolitan New York chapter (ACRL/NY).
I’ve written for numerous publications including Library Journal. I’m a contributor to Career Q&A, by Susanne Markgren and Tiffany Eatman Allen, as well as a writer for the Library Career People website. I served as a member of the editorial board for The Global Librarian, a joint publication between ACRL/NY and METRO.
I hold an MLIS from Long Island University an MA in British & American History from Hunter College. I have worked in libraries since I was in college, continuously except for one year teaching English in France (2001).
